About me

Childhood passion

As a child, I was drawn to creating things with my hands - from molding clay into bowls in our backyard to constructing elaborate Lego gondolas indoors. Painting and drawing allowed me to express my creativity through different mediums. This early passion for making tangible objects sparked my curiosity about design.

The Appeal of Design

What ultimately drew me to the design field was the ability to combine creativity and critical thinking to craft solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally useful for people. I loved the idea of using my hands and mind to shape experiences that could enhance lives in meaningful ways.

Skills and Approach

My curiosity and love of learning has lead me to actively grow my technical knowledge to provide myself more opportunities where I can apply my design skills. This includes learning HTML and CSS when that was a desired skill to learning how to use AI as a partner in user experience design and research.

I have honed skills in user research, prototyping, information architecture, and visual design. My approach centers on human-centered design principles, an iterative process, keen attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration. My work is driven by a desire to deeply understand users’ needs and create designs that align with business goals while resonating with users and help them to understand information and achieve their goals.
